Farm Security
If you are like
most people, you have worked very hard to get where you are today and
you value your property and assets.
It is unfortunate, but as hard as it was to acquire some of the
things that you do have; it only takes one disaster, an open gate or
unscrupulous people to take it all away.
The IRC Sheriff’s Office and the Ranch and Grove Division are
trying their best to help keep your property and livestock safe and
secure. But they need your
help! They can not return
your property to you if they don’t know where it goes.
The Sheriff’s Office has implemented a program which will
allow officers of Ranch and Grove to quickly identify the animals that
should be on your property. By
filling out the “Agriculture Emergency Contact Information” form
and faxing it back to the Sheriff’s Office, you are ensuring that
lost or stolen animals can be quickly returned to you.
The information
from this form will be inputted into a program that corresponds to a
bar code on your fence. The
sheriffs’ officers have a special ‘wand’ that they will be able
to pass over the bar code and read the information about your
livestock from the computer. The
information that you provide will help return animals to your property
and will not be used for any other purpose.
Please take the time to print this sheet off, fill in the
information and fax it back to the Sheriff’s Office at (772)
770-5453.
