Pesticide Applicator & Other Agricultural Training
The State of Florida requires that certain persons be certified to legally apply ANY pesticides (even RoundUp). Who must be certified and the type of certification or license required depends on the type of chemicals used, the site of application and the role of the applicator (owner, employee, etc.).
Due to staffing concerns, training is not currently offered in Indian River County. Pesticide Licensing Exams will be offered at Indian River County Extension Service office on the second Friday of each month starting at 1:00 p.m. For more information call Christine Kelly-Begazo at (772) 770-5033 or e-mail at ckellybe@ufl.edu to schedule an appointment.
