2010 Citizenship Washington Focus

Citizenship Washington Focus is a 4-H leadership program for high school youth. Delegations from across the country attend this 6 day program at the National 4-H Youth Conference Center, located just outside Washington, D.C. The program is aimed at enriching young people's lives by broadening their appreciation and respect for themselves and others in the world. Participants attend workshops, committees, field trips and social events, giving them hands-on opportunities to learn and grow. Participants learn and practice skills that will make them better citizens and more successful individuals.
Eligible Participants
CWF is open to all Florida 4-H members 15 to 18 years old as of Sept. 1, 2009.
Registration
There are 25 slots available on a first-come, first-serve basis. After these slots are filled, additional participants will be welcomed provided there is room available on the bus and at the National 4-H Center. The registration form must be in the State 4-H Events Office by Jan. 15, 2010. Additional registration materials will be mailed after Jan. 15.
Costs
The standard registration package for CWF is $850 per person plus transportation costs. Delegates and/or counties will be responsible for all costs. A $150 deposit must be submitted to the Florida 4-H Events Office with this form by January 15, 2010 made payable to the Florida 4-H Foundation. The remaining $700 and transportation costs will be due by May 15, 2010. We will provide a charter bus for transportation to,from, and around Washington, D.C. Transportation costs will be set after the final delegation size is determined and is expected to be between $200 and $350 per participant. Cost includes:
