Water Quality
Water
quality is the condition of a waterbody (lake, river, stream,
groundwater) in relation to human needs or values. The water quality
condition is determined by measuring the chemical, physical, and
biological make up of the waterbody.
Our
daily actions affect water quality even though we may not realize it.
Applying fertilizer improperly, irrigating too much, applying
pesticides incorrectly, and even littering can negatively impact our
water resources.
There
are things that you can do to help clean up the water that flows off
your land. This web site provides some solutions to reducing water
pollution.
