4-H Camp Cloverleaf
Summer camp is over a 50-year tradition for Indian River County 4-H. Each year, 4-H'ers spend a week at 4-H Camp Cloverleaf in Lake Placid, Fla. Here they learn valuable life skills, like independence... and canoeing.
The Indian River County 4-H Foundation endeavors to assist campers financially subject to fundraising goals being reached.
Become a Camp Counselor
Being a camp counselor is an excellent opportunity to develop leadership, teamwork, decision-making, and problem-solving skills --- and to make sure that children go to bed on time.
To help teens with the latter skills --- and to help prepare them for future job and college application processes --- the counselor selection process will require an application, letters of recommendation, and an interview process.
Letters of Recommendation
A letter of recommendation will be required for teen counselors. These can be from club leaders, teachers, or other adults who can attest to your character. Letters may not be from family members.
Counselors-to-be will be questioned by Camp Advisory Committee Members. All applicants will be interviewed.
Counselors will be required to attend the Camp Counselor Training sessions held at the Indian River County Extension office and at Camp Cloverleaf.
